Gas station bathrooms

Why do they lock gas station bathrooms? Are they afraid that someone will clean them?

I think they're afraid of someone stealing the toilet paper...wait, someone did...

From my emotional journey through a gas station bathroom.....They lock the doors to keep the roaches in.

it's an attempt to create great embarrassment for all! As we run into the store, stand in a long line 6 persons deep, two of them want to buy lottery tickets and scratch them off while standing at the counter just in case they actually win something. meanwhile standing there we shift our weight and squeeze our legs together in some hope that we might prolong the rupturing of our bladder as our eyes turn green. once key is in hand we dart out the door as though the gun just fired for the 100 yard dash only to wet our pants as we fumble to get the door unlocked.
